Five or so years ago, I would have probably labelled this page ´About´ or ´About the photographer´ but I read somewhere that we are in the middle of the era of the ´I´ or the ´Me´ . Wanting to be in sync with present trends, I didn´t hesitate to entitle this page ´Me´  . . .  and, after all, these few lines are about me.

 

 

Well, I guess it can´t be denied that I have a soft spot as much for black and white photography as for taking pictures of mediterranean pine trees and showing them to friends and other people. Consequently, my first photo gallery website was going to be called something having ´pine´ or ´pine tree´ in its title. However, every time I open my Adobe Lightroom photo libraries on my iMac, I come across many other photos people may at least enjoy looking at.

 

I don´t consider myself a typically creative person , even less an artist, but as someone who, mostly on his outings or numerous travels, experiences visual impressions/moments which I personally judge worth freezing with the help of my NIKON D90 or D610. As these impression/moments are usually about more than just pine trees I called this site ´not only pine trees´ or nonsolopini (in Italian).

I started this first attempt at setting up a photography site in early April 2017. If visitors like it and provide me with positive feedback, it will evolve and grow  - if not, it was at least worth the try and I shall keep the whole thing to myself   : - )
